Langtang Valley Trek

INTRODUCTION

Langtang valley trek is one of the popular trekking areas. The name Langtang is derived from the Tibetan word ‘Lang’ and ‘tang’ which means the following ox. This valley has an adventurous scene. We know that every people like to do adventurous things in their life. So, this trekking will help people to achieve their dream.

LANGTANG VALLEY

Langtang is located in the Himalayan region in the north of Kathmandu valley. It is situated in Rasuwa. One can see many trekking areas in the Langtang Valley Trek. Like, Langtang National Park, glaciers, mountains and so on.

  • Langtang National Park:

It is one of the famous parks in this region. It is also considered as the first Himalayan national park. You can easily trek in this region because this region has a favorable climate.

  • Gosaikunda Lake:

It is also one of the attractive trekking spots in this region. You can enjoy the magnificent views of Gosaikunda Lake. This lake consists of 180 lakes. But in winter this lake freezes completely.

  • Mountains:

There are many mountains in this region. One can climb Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lhakpa, Shangbu, Yala Peak and so on. Among these peaks, Langtang Lirung is one of the famous peaks in this region.

CULTURE

Langtang Valley is also famous for its culture. This region has been influenced by Tibetan but mainly the residents living here are Tamangs. Though the area is remote the people living here are very friendly. They have the culture of welcoming guests by putting garland and tika. People living here refer their guests as their god.

ACCESSIBILITY

As this region lies near to the capital of Nepal one can easily travel in this region by their private vehicle or local bus, jeep. One can also travel to this region by plane. While traveling to Langtang one will starts trek from Syabrubesi.

ACCOMMODATION

One can find the best accommodation facility in Langtang Valley. There are numerous lodges that offer the proper facility to people. One can spend the night at lodges like Lama Hotel, Tea Houses, Yak Hotel and so on.

In conclusion, September to mid-December or March to May are the best months to visit the Langtang Valley. In these mont5ths one can enjoy the amazing views of Langtang and these months have the best climate.
